Hope is a piece of art situated on the side of Epiphany and Rook & Pawn retail store, at the corner of Pulaski and W. Washington St. It was made by David Hale in October 2020. David Hale is a muralist and tattoo artist who is known for his disparate style of precise linework.
In Hope, a trip of swallows whirls across a kaleidoscopic, rainbow-hued sky with brilliant coronas around their little heads as though to propose their liminal role between Earth and the sky.
Ben’s Bikes
Ben’s Bikes is a massive bike painted on a wall, alongside the lush greenery that surrounds it. It is situated at 670 W. Broad Street., at the corner of W. Broad St. and Pope Street. Created by Ainhoa Bilbao Cebrero, Ben’s Bikes makes for the perfect photo opportunity for you and your loved ones. It is no wonder why it is so famous in Athens, Georgia.
Winterville
Winterville is an art situated in Winterville Community Garden. It was made by Winterville Elementary students and community members.
The meaningful piece of art was made with the end goal of engaging youthful students in Winterville and as a method for bettering the relationships between the community members and the school. This wall painting is planned around the drawings of a class of youthful Winterville elementary students.
Birds of Heaven
Birds of Heaven is a gorgeous art situated outside the emergency department of St. Mary’s Hospital, 1230 Baxter Street. Like Hope, Birds of Heave was also created by David Hale. The art shows blue and black birds flying above green, red, and pink trees. David Hale used his particular style that underlines mathematical structures and strong line work to draw this art.
Journey Juice
Journey juice is a local cold-press juicery. It is situated in 1428, Normaltown, at the corner of Prince Avenue and Satula Avenue. Beyond enjoying a cup of fresh juice, you can take a look at three murals, all designed by Nack. You can choose to take a fun picture with your loved ones in front of the turtle, frog, or monster.
Flowerland
Flowerland is situated at 823 Prince Avenue, at the corner of N. Milledge and Prince. This painting, a favorite of the locals, is frequently viewed by motorists. Jamie Calkin, an artist known for his exquisite watercolor paintings, has his art seen everywhere across Athen’s GA, including the one that looks great on the Flowerland building’s façade.
