TerraBella Hillsborough is a senior-friendly retirement community in Apex, NC that provides comfortable dwellings, including 1 bedroom apartment homes and suites. Below is an overview of our senior living floor plans along with recommendations for choosing the one which is right for you.
Assisted Living
Our dwellings are divided into two broad categories, which are assisted living and memory care. Shared suites are also available. Assisted living consists of the following:
Granville
The Granville apartment is a suite with a single bathroom. It is approximately 292 square feet in size and offers a storage area and small table where you can dine with guests.
Hooper
The Hooper apartment is almost twice as large as Granville and covers 527 square feet. It features one bedroom, one bathroom, and a living room area.
Memory Care
The primary dwelling offered for memory care is Riverwalk. It is about the same size as a Granville apartment at about 292 square feet, and comes with a single bathroom along with a small table where residents can dine with or without guests.
Things to Consider When Choosing a Floor Plan
There are three factors which should be taken into consideration when selecting a floor plan for your loved one and these are space, comfort and lifestyle:
- Space: A lot of retirees don’t require much space, especially if they don’t have a spouse. The Granville and Hooper apartments are perfect for those that want to downsize with just enough stuff to make them feel comfortable, while retired couples that want to relocate to TerraBella Hillsborough together should consider the Hooper apartment.
- Comfort: All the suites we provide are cozy and comfortable. But functionality should be considered in your decision making process. For instance, you want an apartment that can accommodate artwork, family portraits or furniture you want to bring from you old homes, and some elders prefer a suite with windows that face away or into morning light. The mobility level of your loved one should also be taken into consideration? How easy is it for them to get around?
- Lifestyle: It is important to choose a suite which is compatible with your lifestyle. For instance, retirees that have a green thumb or love plants may want a balcony where they can hold them, and those who want their grandchildren to visit may want extra space so they can stay for the night.
Community Amenities
After the floor plan, people choose retirement communities based on their amenities, and at TerraBella Hillsborough we have a lot of them. These conveniences are designed to heighten the experience of residents while making them feel as comfortable as possible. Examples of this include onsite fitness centers, game rooms, swimming pools, libraries, restaurants and more.
Our community is situated in such a way where members don’t have to leave unless they want to, since everything is either provided on site or delivered to them, but we regularly host offsite excursions where residents get a chance to take a break away from the community and enjoy the surrounding area and its many attractions.
