The city has gone through years of change from a railroad town to textile center to Race City USA, and is also a premier place for tasty cuisine, the arts and outdoors, and music and sports with professional teams performing in neighboring Charlotte.
We’ve always been the hub of the local healthcare community, where we are proud to host the largest monthly healthcare networking event (South Iredell Healthcare Forum), which can be found with the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce.
Mooresville is Race City USA, home of the NASCAR Technical Institute, and, in nearby Charlotte, home to professional sports teams the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. Our city offers all the charm of a small town, all the thrills of a big city, a weekend at the beach or in the mountains, or a Sunday in the park. It’s home to Lake Norman State Park, the largest man-made lake in the state, with a 30.5-mile trail offering fishing, boating, mountain biking, camping and events.
