People have the notion that memory care is far more severe than most care levels that aging adults require. Because of this, they feel that these people should be housed in weird, white box-like houses with no furniture. While they are not totally wrong, the idea that aging adults with memory-related diagnosis should be treated less than regular humans is a bit unfair. Here is how memory care in Goose Creek, SC happens.
After reviewing your loved one to understand their diagnoses and what level of care they need, we then welcome them into our memory care community. Your loved one will be entitled to everything their assisted living counterparts receive in terms of community and service. They get to partake in community events and activities, they receive our exclusive programs as usual. They also get visits and trips as scheduled.
The key difference however is found in the extra care we give to our memory care residents to help them through their peculiar medical situations. We assign some of our team members who are highly trained professionals in memory care. They provide your loved one with therapy and rehabilitation exercises which keep them centered, calm and cheerful.
Our Memory Care Floor Plans
One of the highest concerns you may have is where your loved one will be accommodated. Most people do not like the idea of their loved one being kept in a white, bland empty room. Moreover, there is the worry that their loved ones may harm themselves with certain household objects. We understand these worries and have structured our suites to be harm-free yet pleasant.
In our memory care community, we have bespoke designer remodeled suites for our residents. Our suites are well spaced, serene, comfortable and create a homely environment for your loved one to feel cozy and relaxed. They come fully equipped with modern elements. Everything your loved one will need has been provided within.
We considered color psychology and used well researched color combinations to amplify your loved one’s mood and general demeanor. The apartments are built in a spaced fashion and are well aerated. The memory care apartments come in two variations: the Palmetto and the Magnolia suites.
- Palmetto
The Palmetto suite is a rectangular-shaped plan that has a very simple layout that is easy to navigate. It is three hundred and thirty square feet and comes equipped with a single bathroom and a living area that is furnished to modern taste. The colors are neutral with splashes of warm color here and there. You could add decoration pieces to make it feel like home.
- Magnolia
The Magnolia suite is an R-shaped layout that gives your loved one a modern feel. This suite also covers three hundred and thirty square feet. It is fully equipped with a bedroom, a bathroom and a living area.
This suite comes fully furnished with everything your loved one will need during their stay. Nevertheless, they get to add certain keepsakes to give the suite a personal touch.
