A few minutes west of our location is charming Boiling Springs and Gardner-Webb University, where lectures, concerts and performances and NCAA Division I sporting events are held throughout the year. Friday night lights also shine bright at both Crest and Shelby High School each football season, and area baseball fans get quite a treat here each August as the best, young ballplayers from across the nation descend upon Shelby for the American Legion World Series.
